Join Selena for 8 days and 7 nights in Lefkada Greece. We're gathering on this GLORIOUS private beach for a week of yoga, dance, embodiment, play, and a joyful deepening into self through explorations in oral story, Katonah Yoga®, Somatic movement, breath, and so much more.

We are gathering in Lefkada at a gorgeous villa to commune in the communal wisdom, to hone our inner listening, to strengthen our bonds with our Highest Self and to tenderly silence the voice of our lowest.

We are rewiring and drawing a new map by which to navigate the world. We are cultivating our inner wisdom and innate capacities, shifting and training our perspective so we can walk in life with more joy.

The Emergence retreat is more than a yoga retreat. It is a curated experience designed to lead you into self inquiry with curiosity and joy. Together we’ll explore yoga, movement, meditation, and more to deeply connect with our inner compass.

Rekindle your connection with nature, with rest, with play, and with your inner desires. This is an intentional and lyrical pause bend your ear to the earth, to the beating of your own heart, to the rhythm of your breath.

We're moving from habituation to potentialities. During your stay you'll be guided through practices and teachings to support you in owning and authoring your dreams and visions for your life.

Our Private Villas in Lefkada

Experience a place of absolute harmony and relaxation. Built following a dream to embrace nature’s silence, Urania Villas sit gently within the green mountains, offering views of endless heaven.

Along with the stunning ocean views, our villas are located just 3km from the peaceful village of Ponti-Vassiliki, making it one of the quietest spots on the island. Here, you’ll hear nothing but the gentle rustling of leaves and the songs of birds. The way our villas.

The villas feature access to our private beach where we can languish in the late summer sun. The hike is a steep but glorious and worth every step to luxuriate on a white sand private beach.

Just 20 minutes from us, you’ll find several incredible beaches ranked among the best in the world, including Porto Katsiki, Egremni, and Gialos. Taxis are available or you're welcome to rent a vehicle for free days of exploration.

Our villas also feature private pools.

Our private chef will prepare gorgeous meals to delight your senses and immerse you in Greek culture.

Nourishment

Savor three times daily vegetarian and pescetarian meals lovingly prepared by our wonderful chefs. For an additional cost you may opt to add superfood supplementation to your experience.

Exploration

Twice-daily intentional gatherings weaving movement, somatics, Katonah Yoga®, dance, personal development, oral story, and more. Your program is curated to weave a narrative thread from beginning to end.

Play

Swim, relax, hike, tour the island with optional add on excursions. Closer to our retreat date you will have the opportunity to add on journeys like a private yacht day, cooking classes, and other delights.

I was legitimately scared to go to Selena’s retreat. I’m not a yogi. I had never traveled outside the US before. I needed to do something for myself. I needed something grounding but outside of my comfort zone. That’s exactly what I found with this retreat. Selena and everyone on this retreat made me feel welcomed and supported. Not having a yoga practice wasn’t an issue. The classes were a challenge but I didn’t feel left behind. The teachings about the goddess hit me in tender spots that I didn’t want to admit were there. I would recommend going to her next retreat to anyone that will listen to me.

About Selena

Selena is a curator of bespoke, slow travel experiences. She is a somatic dance teacher, spiritual teacher, mind-body coach, somatic experiencing practitioner, life coach, oral storyteller, and sociocultural anthropologist.

She has practiced yoga for 30 years and taught globally for almost 15 years.

She integrates her decades of movement study, yoga philosophy, myth and folklore studies, coaching, and somatic practices into an experience that is very unique.

She believes in embracing life as a gift to be celebrated, in not turning away from life's pains and difficulties but fully accepting and dancing with EVERYTHING life has to offer. All the while staying in the business of JOY.

She utilizes oral storytelling, contemplative work, embodiment practices, and yoga to address the complexities of a human life in a way that is joyful, playful, and anchored in the right here and now.

As a coach Selena uses a combination of hypnosis, NLP, Somatic Experiencing, and Handel Methods to guide you to your Highest.

She believes that life is already a great mystery and there's no need to manufacture the mystical. But a lot of opportunities to stoke your awe and imagination.

On Retreat

Emergence is your opportunity to be in community with like-minded humans, to explore your inner landscape, to play, rest, and reconnect with the ceremony of life.

Together we’ll explore rituals, practice, and play to inspire and elevate our living.

You will enjoy twice-daily yoga practices to support your body and breath. Asana, meditation, pranayama, journaling work, and other practices to support your well-being, heal your nervous system, and lead you to your highest.

Post-retreat support. All participants will receive a 6-month online subscription to Selena’s live-stream and on-demand classes as well as an optional zoom integration meeting to reconnect with one another and practice together a month after the retreat completes.

—Roundtrip airfare to Aktion/Preveza airport (airport code PVK). Please note that PVK operates more seasonally, so flights will appear winter 2023 in anticipation of season. It is advised you fly to London or Amsterdam and then take an affordable regional European flight to PVK, like Easyjet or Transavia. PVK airport to the retreat is just a 1 hour and 15 minute drive.
**You may also fly into Athens and rent a car or take a bus to Lefkada. This is a 5.5 hour journey.
Sharing this with other guests would also be a great option. This bus ride is easy and lovely.

Let me begin by saying, if I could give Selena and this trip fifty stars, I would in a heartbeat. I understand how cliche it is to say, “This trip changed my life!” But it truly did. Selena provided a safe space to reconnect with my body, mind, and spirit as emotions I couldn’t fully understand at the time bubbled to the surface. She left us with a simple statement, “Love your life,” that had profound impacts I haven’t fully grasped. While Greece was outstanding, the people incredible, the food fantastic, and the resort impeccable, the internal movement this created within me is something I will be forever indebted to. This was my first yoga retreat and Selena really set the bar high! This wasn’t just about doing yoga classes and laying by the pool.. (although we did that too!) our classes were intimate and called us to explore ourselves on the deepest level. We had journal prompts and movement classes that brought our true selves out! Selena shared her whole heart, her wisdom and facilitated our own personal transformation and connection with others! I have made friends for life :) !
